About the Crown Surgery

History
Since 1994 there has only been one doctor’s practice in Eccleshall operating from The Crown Surgery. The building dates back to the 15th century, and was a public house until 1992, when it was converted into an award winning surgery. Patients may be interested to know that we have preserved the original glass in two areas of the building which have remained uncleaned to demonstrate the effects of tobacco smoke!
In April 2001 the Practice became a Personal Medical Services (PMS) Practice, and in 2005 and 2006 began to work with 15 other local practices to influence the commissioning of hospital and community services locally.
Patient Participation Group
The practice meets regularly with the Patient Participation Group to discuss the services provided by the practice.
