The Doctors
Dr Mark Bland BM BS (Nottingham 1980) B Med Sci. Dr Bland grew up locally and went to school in Stafford, but undertook his training in general practice in Bristol. He replaced Dr Harrison who retired in 1985 and became senior partner when Dr Osborne retired in 1995. He has completed the London Marathon twice, walked the Coast to Coast and Pennine Way, cycled from Land's End to John O'Groats solo and by tandem and completed the Welsh 3000s. He is also an appraiser for other GPs in the area
Dr David Carr MB BS (London 1986) DRCOG. Dr Carr was born in Carlisle, raised in Surrey and went to medical school in London. He completed his training in General Practice in Stafford. He has lived in Staffordshire since 1987 moving to Eccleshall in 1993. He provides the majority of care for Drake Hall Women's Prison.
Dr William Davies MB ChB (Manchester 1991) BSc DRCOG DFFP DCH. Dr Davies joined the practice in 1997. He qualified from St. Andrews and Manchester Universities and trained in general practice in Gloucestershire before settling in Eccleshall.
Dr Lucy Jones MB BCh (Wales 1993). Dr Jones joined as a part time doctor in 2000. She completed her training in Shrewsbury and Telford having qualified from Cardiff in 1993. She lives near Newport.
Practice Manager
Lyn Martin-Lay BA (Hons), the Practice Manager is responsible for all practice administration. She has worked in the NHS for 25 years and welcomes any comments about the practice and the service provided by doctors and staff.
Practice Nurses
Sister Marilyn Jackson RGN, SCM, HV Cert. Sister Pam Trafford RGN and Sister Alison McKenna can be consulted about a range of clinical matters including cervical smears, travel advice and immunisations, dressings, removal of stitches, and ear syringing. They also run a number of specialised clinics.
Phlebotomist
Mrs Stanier is the practice phlebotomist and holds clinics each morning for patients who need blood tests. Mrs Stanier also runs the health assessment clinic for all new patients to the practice.
Respiratory Technician

    Mrs Mullee offers patients with respiratory conditions the opportunity to have spirometry testing at the practice in preference to visiting hospital Dr Davies oversees this clinic

 

 

Receptionists

The receptionists deal with enquiries, appointments and general administration. If they are unable to respond to your enquiry immediately  relevant details will be recorded on the computer system, and the duty doctor will respond as appropriate. In this case you will be asked to contact the surgery later in the day when the doctor's comments can be passed on.
District Nurses
Sue Nixon leads the district nurse's team who attend patients who are housebound. Their daytime telephone number is 01785 850651. If you are receiving care from the district nurses and need to contact them urgently about a nursing matter at night time (i.e. between 6.00pm - 7.00am) ring 01785 818908.
Health Visitors
The Health visitor, can be contacted on 01785 851365. They play a key role in monitoring the health of children under five years but also provide health education to people of all ages. 
Chiropodist
South Staffordshire Health Care Trust hold a twice weekly chiropody clinic at the surgery. Patients need to be referred by a doctor, and the initial assessment takes place at the Central Clinic in North Walls Stafford. The surgery does not deal with chiropody appointments. Please direct all enquiries to the chiropodist on 01785 851748.
Community Psychiatric Nurse
Sister Anna Farmer RGN RMN and Lynn Bufton have  a special interest in helping people who are suffering from stress, anxiety, depression and phobias. She is able to see people at home or at the surgery. Patients need to be referred to this service by their doctor.
Dietician
The dietician holds a monthly clinic at the surgery for patients who have been referred by their doctor.
Midwives
There is one midwife attached to the practice. She can be contacted about any concerns you may have regarding your pregnancy. If you need to speak to a midwife urgently ring the switchboard at Staffordshire General Hospital (01785 257731) and ask them to bleep the midwife for Area G, or contact 01785 230839 or if you need to speak to the midwife urgently please contact 07813915161.
Social Worker

Unfortunately the services of a social worker have been suspended due to staff vacancies. General enquiries can be made by telephone 01785 276969.
